![]() ![]() Just as in Myst the player spends most time exploring. It is up to the player to find out what history unraveled there and how to get back home. The player's character is teleported to another world which he will find mostly abandoned. Can you perhaps explain to a technically challenged person how to open an. Obduction is an adventure game in the vein of Myst by the same creators. I navigated to Steam/steamapps/common/obduction (using the icon for the application) and got the same screen I always get when loading the game - "load game" still gave me just the most recent save. The guide to the Obduction contains: A detailed walkthrough which is rich with illustrations and which contains the order in which the player should perform various steps. When I click on the 2nd choice-.SAV file I am asked how I want to open this game. One learns about the story of the game by contacting the non-playable characters, solving riddles and reading the notes hidden across the whole planet. I may not be smart enough or just brain dead after umpteen hours of trying or my older age is working against me.Ī file explorer search using your description (because there is no AppData folder just inside my users/username folder) shows me this: AppData/Local/Obduction/Saved/SaveGames/Slot0 and inside the slot0 folder are 3 files: (1)GameInfo.obd (2)GameState.sav (3) Save game. I wish Steam or Cyan offered a saved game file for the completed puzzle. You are right, I don't understand many things - which of the three teleporters to use to go to "the other" location or what each of the three teleporters actually do, if I should use the same teleporter on my way back to the original maze location or a different one of the three, why the circles are rotated to a katywompus angle compared to what I rotated down the the mine when I look down on the puzzle from above, which circles are the goal to swap in "the other" location. ![]()
